CertiCard

Posted by deedubyah on 11/06/2005

The Certicard is the size of a credit card. It is stamped with the numbers of the car at the factory. Later, at the dealership the original owners name and address are added. The addition was usually done with a plastic label machine using clear and colorless tape.

The card is kept in a pouch affixed to the radiator support wall near the battery. The card was usually retained by the dealer following final warranty expiration. It is a great thing to have on the car, from a collector's point of view.
