Posted by: Paul on 06/05/03 A couple of winters ago, I swapped my 66 over to disc brakes using a 74 Valiant donor car. Granted, they are the smaller rotors, but I have been more than happy with the stopping power. Since I originally had manual drums, this is a great improvement. I put on new rotors and pads, added the dual master cylinder, and used a wilwood proportioning valve to the rear brakes. I figured that I had about $400 into it, including the valiant parts from the salvage yard ($120), so I was more than happy. |
