David Walker:Ok guys...give me an education on fuel pumps. I need to replace mine I think (it's leaking) so what's the best approach here?

Greg Rose: If it's a stock pump, pitch it. Buy a Carter street/strip fuel pump, unbolt the old one, clean gasket surface, use new gasket & install new one. Buy fittings from parts store as needed to help line up old fuel line (gentle encouragement - bending, may be required). Crank car & cruise! $50 part, couple bucks for fitting (maybe), hour or two max!

Don Hayton:I went to a hemi fuel pump that I got from Chrysler parts dept for $37.00. It is 3/8 line and I got the whole thing - 3/8 line to the tank as well as the sending unit. With the 3/8 line you will get 80 g.p.h. while maintaining 8.7 psi. Check on Year One catalog 1200 page 239.
